RoDon K3 Fire Hydrant Locking System
Rodon K3 Fire Hydrant Locking System
The RoDon Corporation's Rodon K-3 Fire Hydrant Security Lock was designed and engineered to provide two important municipality water security functions. First, to deter unauthorized personnel in accessing a fire hydrant's operating nut and using the hydrant as an inlet connection. Secondly, by incorporating a high intensity refective tape positioned at the top of the "outer shell", fire department personnel will be assisted in immediately locating the so equipped hydrant especially during adverse weather conditions and during night time. The reflective tape band option may also incorporate a color coding system to identify hydrant flow rate (GPM) information.
Item Maintenance: For future ease of operation, we suggest after hydrant flushing to lubricate the lock with a waterproof lubricant. RoDon Corporation utilizes the Boeshield T-9 as the best lubricant for the hydrant lock.
Lock Disclaimer: To prevent any internal tampering utilize lock shackle size 5/16” - 3/8”. RoDon Corporation does not certify the use of any lock shackle smaller than the specified range.
